Objective:
Evaluate germplasm for resistance/tolerance to feeding by the European corn borer, Ostrinia nubilalis.

Approach:
Insects will be produced in the laboratory using published methodologies. At the appropriate plant phylogeny, insects will be placed in the whorl of the plant or behind the leaf-sheath collar.
