Objective:
Develop practical and efficacious administration protocols that optimize the specific bactericidal activity of chlorate against Salmonella and E. coli immediately preharvest.

Approach:
Live animals will be administered chlorate in feed and/or water under different practical conditions to assess the efficacy of reducing gut concentrations of Salmonella and E. coli.
