Surf Your Watershed

Disclaimers. EPA WWW Guidelines.

Surf Your Watershed is a service to help you locate, use, and share environmental information on your watershed or community. A driving force behind Surf Your Watershed is to get environmental information into the hands of active citizens and groups and to help those people connect and share information, ideas, and assistance. EPA supports the public's right-to-know and hopes that Surf Your Watershed will contribute to the public’s understanding of environmental issues.

Surf Your Watershed's catalog of Web pages and Speak Out comments linked to external web sites met the following criteria when added:

  • The site provides information primarily about the environment.
  • The site is not primarily a commercial site or a fund-raising site.
  • The site is not concerned primarily with lobbying for a political agenda.
  • The information presented does not attack or disparage any individuals by name.

Due to the dynamic nature of the Internet, resources that are free and publicly available one day may require a fee or restrict access the next. The location and content of the sites may change as menus and homepages are reorganized. It may not be feasible for EPA to promptly remove a link to a site which no longer meets the criteria specified here.

Links to non-EPA sites and comments provided in Speak Out do not imply any official EPA endorsement. Furthermore, EPA does not accept any responsibility for the opinions, ideas, data or products presented at those locations, or guarantee the validity of the information provided. EPA does not guarantee the suitability of the information for any specific purpose.

Links to non-EPA servers are provided solely as a pointer to information on topics related to environmental protection that may be useful to EPA staff and the public.

Information presented in the Adopt Your Watershed database does not constitute an official endorsement by EPA of any particular group's policies or positions on federal or state legislation.

The following EPA World Wide Web disclaimers of liability and endorsement apply to all Surf Your Watershed pages and information.
