WASHINGTON – In response to today’s release of the U.S. Department of Labor employment report, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Bill Thomas (R-CA), made the following statement:
"Today’s jobs report is just one more piece of evidence that the economy is advancing. This marks the 13th consecutive month of job creation in the U.S, 11 quarters of economic growth, a 17 percent surge in investment, an 11 percent jump in exports in the last 4 quarters, and near record home building. President Bush’s timely and well-crafted tax relief has helped put America on this path of growth."
