Welcome
to the Office of Extramural Research located in the Office of the Director,
National Center for Infectious Diseases. The Office of Extramural Research
(OER) serves as the focal point for policies and guidelines for extramural
research grant administration and for conduct of peer review. OER has
responsiblity for funding and monitoring extramural research in the areas
of Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases. OER staff has expertise
on the issues associated with program, grants management, and peer review.
In collaboration with the Divisions/Programs/Offices, OER is responsible
for the development and monitoring of Requests for Application and Program
Announcements for extramural research.
