excessive levels of leachable lead. Products
detained in the past include dishes, teapots,
pitchers, goblets, jugs, coffee sets, and bowls.
Articles not normally used for storage of liquid
or liquid-type foods (i.e., sugar bowls, serving
trays, candle holders) should be released.
INSTRUCTIONS: Automatically detain, without physical sampling
and analysis, all brassware from India except for
those firms listed in the attachment to this
alert.
