International Partners

Neurolab is a cooperative effort between NASA and various domestic and international partners. A Neurolab Steering Committee, made up of representatives from the partners, contributes to the planning of the mission. The international partners fund proposals from their countries, and will provide flight and ground-based hardware, facilities and technical expertise for the mission.

The links established between NASA and these other agencies will provide a firm foundation for future interagency cooperation, including the International Space Station.

Because life sciences research facilities on the International Space Station (ISS) will be provided by both NASA and its many international partners, the Neurolab mission provides an excellent model for examining how life sciences research might be selected, managed, funded and conducted aboard the ISS.
