Earthquake Summary Posters

Each poster in the Earthquake Summary Poster series contains multiple panels showing the epicentral area, plate tectonic environment, earthquake history, and generalized seismic hazard of the region. These posters are approximately 36 inches wide by 24 inches high.

The posters should be considered preliminary. They are neither completely definitive (the earthquake data are those available in the first few days after the event) nor totally accurate (the map base may contain obsolete information, for example).

The posters may be downloaded for viewing or for printing on a color plotter. Adobe PDF (.pdf) format files are provided. Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or higher is required for viewing the PDF file on a computer monitor and for printing the PDF map graphic. IMPORTANT: The PDF map graphic was produced using TrueType fonts; change the following setting to:
Page(Print)Setup>Properties>Layout>Advanced>Graphic>TrueTypeFont>DownloadAsSoftFont

Your comments about the usefulness of the posters and suggestions for their improvement are appreciated.
