All requests for course materials are handled in the following manner:
Requests from Non-federal employees of multi-state, state, local, and Tribal
air pollution control agencies - Contact Dennis Shipman at (919) 541-5477 who
will send the appropriate materials free of charge.
To receive materials through the normal registration process for a course (e.
g., self-instructional, classroom, or APDLN telecourse), refer to the section on
APTI Course Registration Policy and
Procedures.
Appropriate Uses of APTI Course Materials
The APTI course materials are now being copyrighted by the developers.
Copyrights are permitted under Federal regulations and recommended by the
Education & Outreach Group (EOG). The EOG recommends that authors and
copyright holders exercise their rights to protect their materials. The EOG has
a non-exclusive right to use any and all materials developed under grants and
contracts and can assign their use to the state and local programs for internal
training. The authors and producers also have rights to these
materials.
Area and Specialized Training Centers
The Area Training Centers and Specialized Training Centers may use APTI
materials, audio-visual materials, and distance learning materials for training
sponsored by their center without prior approval from the EOG. However,
acknowledgement of the source of the materials is required.
