How to Obtain APTI Course Materials

All requests for course materials are handled in the following manner:

Requests from Non-federal employees of multi-state, state, local, and Tribal air pollution control agencies - Contact Dennis Shipman at (919) 541-5477 who will send the appropriate materials free of charge.

To receive materials through the normal registration process for a course (e. g., self-instructional, classroom, or APDLN telecourse), refer to the section on APTI Course Registration Policy and Procedures.

Appropriate Uses of APTI Course Materials

The APTI course materials are now being copyrighted by the developers. Copyrights are permitted under Federal regulations and recommended by the Education & Outreach Group (EOG). The EOG recommends that authors and copyright holders exercise their rights to protect their materials. The EOG has a non-exclusive right to use any and all materials developed under grants and contracts and can assign their use to the state and local programs for internal training. The authors and producers also have rights to these materials.

Area and Specialized Training Centers

The Area Training Centers and Specialized Training Centers may use APTI materials, audio-visual materials, and distance learning materials for training sponsored by their center without prior approval from the EOG. However, acknowledgement of the source of the materials is required.

If you have any questions regarding use of APTI materials please contact Dennis Shipman at (919) 541-5477 or via email at shipman.dennis@epa.gov
