Pesticide Safety Program

The final meeting of the National Assessment of the Agricultural Worker Protection Program was held in Washington DC, March 19-21, 2003. The agenda is available at http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/safety/2003/marchagenda.htm.

The National Strategies for Health Care Providers: Pesticide Initiative National Forum was held in Washington D.C., June 10-11, 2003. The State FIFRA Issues Research and Evaluation Group (SFIREG) http://aapco.ceris.purdue.edu/doc/sfireg.html Exit EPA disclaimer is comprised of State, Federal, Tribal and Association representatives, and meets periodically to identify and discuss issues related to pesticides that affect the states. SFIREG provides oral and written comments to EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs. The SFIREG Working Committee on Pesticide Operations & Management (WC/PO&M) develops and reviews issue papers to be presented to EPA. Both full SFIREG and Working Committee meetings are open to the public. The next SFIREG WC/PO&M meeting will be held April 5-6, 2004 at The Edgewater in Seattle, WA.
