Community-Based
Habitat Restoration Grants from NOAA. Proposals are now being accepted.
The Community-Based Collaboratives
Research Consortium requests proposals for funding to conduct research
and evaluation of community-based collaboratives concerned with management
of natural resources. The Consortium's focus for the next two-years
is researching and evaluating the outcomes of community-based collaborative
processes, with specific interest in environmental outcomes.
Jenifer Altman Foundation is a private
foundation dedicated to the vision of a socially just and ecologically
sustainable future through program interests in environmental health
and mind-body health.
The National
Fish and Wildlife Foundation funds projects to conserve and restore
fish, wildlife, and native plants through challenge grant programs.
Federal, state, and local governments, educational institutions, and
nonprofit organizations are welcomed to apply for a general challenge
grant throughout the year.

Streets and the Fire Department (Video) This video was prepared
as a follow-up to the Local Government Commission’s 1999 publication
Street Design Guidelines for Healthy Neighborhoods. It features interviews
and demonstrations with fire departments from Portland, Oregon and
Chico and Mountain View, California.
BASINS 3
is Available on CDROM - The BASINS version 3 system, documentation,
and GIS data of watersheds in each of the ten EPA Regions are available
through National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP).
