The National Library Network has created a virtual library that can be accessed by EPA staff directly from their computers. The EPA Desktop Library hosts more than 430 information resources, including the full text of scientific and policy journals, reports, newspapers, reference works, databases and more. The site includes several news, business and scientific databases from the Dialog Corporation, plus 5 newsletters from InsideEPA.com, including the Inside EPA Weekly Report.

ScienceDirect is a collection of electronic journals from the publisher Elsevier Science. The tables of contents and article abstracts from more than 1000 journals are available, and the full text of articles are available for 124 journals. The service includes important titles such as Atmospheric Environment, Chemosphere, Environmental Science & Policy, and The Lancet. Please begin by reading a fact sheet about ScienceDirect with information about our account and searching tips.

Research Services
Most of EPA's 28 libraries provide extensive research services to EPA staff. These may include online searching, current awareness services, Interlibrary Loan and document delivery, citation verification for publications, journal routing, and more. Please contact your EPA library, and read our policies and procedures, to find out what services are offered.
