OVERVIEW

The Office of Environmental Justice's Collaborative Problem-Solving (CPS) Cooperative Agreements Program was established in 2003 to provide financial assistance to eligible affected local community-based organizations working on or planning to work on projects to address local environmental and/or public health concerns, using EPA's "environmental justice collaborative problem-solving model." Information on the "model" can be found in the publication " Environmental Justice Collaborative Model: A Framework to Ensure Local Problem-Solving." (PDF 4.5MB)

A background document has been prepared to provide information on the review process and on future solicitations.
