MOBILE6 Vehicle Emission Modeling Software

This web site provides the MOBILE6 Vehicle Emission Modeling Software and related presentations and training resources.  MOBILE6 is an emission factor model for predicting gram per mile emissions of Hydrocarbons (HC), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Particulate Matter (PM), and toxics from cars, trucks, and motorcycles under various conditions.

MOBILE6 Training
EPA is developing a variety of training opportunities for MOBILE6 users.  Information on this training will be posted as available.  Also see the MOBILE6 user guide above.

  • 5-Day Training presented in Seattle, September 2001
    • ReadMe 2K TXT
    • 195 page PowerPoint presentation given on the first day of the course. 2.4M PDF or 6.9M PPT
This is a basic introduction to on-road emissions modeling and MOBILE6. It can serve as a stand-alone class for managers and others who will not perform analyses using the model.
    • Training Manual for the five day course:
    • During the second through fifth days of the training, numerous examples were worked in class. The examples are given in the training manual. The solutions to those examples are given in these four files:
  • Computer-based training 1.9M ZIP.
After unzipping, please see the "ReadmeCD.txt" file for instructions.
