Your questions or concerns about indoor air
problems can frequently be answered by the government agencies in your state or
local government. Responsibilities for indoor air quality issues are usually
divided among many different agencies. Calling or writing the agencies
responsible for health or air quality control is the best way to start getting
information from your state or local government. EPA maintains a list of State
and Regional Radon and Indoor Air Coordinators at
www.epa.gov/iaq/whereyoulive.html
The following organizations have information
discussed in the booklet The Inside Story - A
Guide to Indoor Air Quality. Call the IAQ Information Clearinghouse [IAQINFO]
at (800) 438-4318 for the names of a variety of organizations that have more
information on specific and general indoor air quality issues.

through the EPA by congressional directive. This new research and information
Center is located at the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute (LRRI) in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. NERC was founded to facilitate research to provide an
improved scientific basis for understanding and managing health risks associated
with air quality in recognition of the reality that all pollutant exposures are
exposures to mixtures of many pollutants from many sources.
