Radionuclides
in Drinking Water
EPA has updated its standards for radionuclides in drinking water. EPA
also has set a new standard for uranium, as required by the 1986 amendments
to the Safe Drinking Water Act. The standards are: combined radium 226/228
(5 pCi/L); beta emitters (4 mrems); gross alpha standard (15 pCi/L); and
uranium (30 µg/L).
