Environmental Evaluation Group
The New Mexico Environmental Evaluation Group (EEG) conducts
technical evaluations of the WIPP Project that are independent
of EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy. EEG was established
in 1978 with funds provided by DOE to the State of New Mexico.

Waste
Contains a glossary and other helpful information about

Yucca
Mountain Standards
EPA developed the public health and environmental radiation
protection standards for the Department of Energy's proposed
repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. The facility would
be the disposal site for spent nuclear fuel and high-level
radioactive waste.
