Get TRI Data
TRI data and information are made available in a number of ways to assist
the widest range of users. TRI
Explorer is a searchable online database which lets users quickly
get information about releases and transfers and other waste management
activities - no database knowledge required! The annual Public
Data Release contains fact sheets, trend information, and the State
Data Files. The State Data Files are designed to minimize the amount
of coding necessary to get release, transfer, waste management and other
information on submissions for a specific reporting year. In addition,
raw data is available by request on CD.
"Factors to Consider When Using TRI
Data" is an excellent source of information on how to use TRI data.
Early Public Availability of TRI Reports
The TRI Program is currently evaluating several options for making individual
TRI forms, as submitted by each facility, publicly available before the
traditional annual Public Data Release. This is in response to requests
to make the TRI data publicly available sooner. This earlier availability
would occur before EPA has completed all the data quality checks, compilations,
and trend analysis that are traditionally done as part of the annual Public
Data Release. Please visit this website periodically for updates.
