Description

The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) provides leadership to both the public and private sectors for the delivery of health care services to all mothers and children. MCHB administers a program of discretionary grants for Special Projects of Regional and National Significance (SPRANS) and a program devoted to Supporting Community Integrated Service Systems (CISS)--projects that seek to reduce infant mortality and improve the health of children and families through the development of public-private partnerships.

Online Resources

Print Resources

The Bureau's inventory of maternal and child health publications (approximately 500 titles) is distributed by the National Maternal and Child Health Clearinghouse. The majority of publications are in English only; however, some are available in Spanish, Cambodian, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Korean, Laotian, Samoan, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese. Most publications are available in limited quantities at no cost. A publications catalog is now available on the Bureau's Web site.
