Pesticide Special Review

The Special Review process is set in motion when EPA has reason to believe that the use of a pesticide may result in unreasonable adverse effects to people or the environment. The goal of this process is to reduce the risks posed by a pesticide to an acceptable level while taking into consideration the benefits provided by the use of the pesticide.

Status of Chemicals in Special Review - Describes the status of pesticides which are currently undergoing or have completed the Special Review program. (11 KB, PDF) March 2000 Report: EPA-738-R-00-001
