  Referral & Reference Services

EPA's Headquarters Library is the main contact point for questions from the public. The OPPTS Chemical Library can provide limited ready reference and referral to the public in the areas of our specialization (see Collections).

Contact our Reference Desk (202-566-0800) or E-mail us for assistance.

The OPPTS Chemical Library offers Pathfinders and Bibliographies designed to help you find the books and web sites on certain subjects relevant to pollution prevention, pesticides, and toxic substances.

  Borrowing Policy / Interlibrary Loan

The OPPTS Chemical Library does not lend its materials directly to individuals. Please contact your local library to initiate an Interlibrary Loan request to our library through OCLC (our symbol is "EJE") or with an ALA ILL form.

Companies and institutions who do not have a library may submit their request on letterhead via mail or FAX (202-566-0794).
