The United States recently finished negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a proposed trade pact among 12 different nations: the United States, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, and Japan. America's economy depends on the ability to sell products and market services throughout the world, but a trade deal can only be a success if it creates jobs for Americans, eliminates tariffs that drive up prices for American families, and strengthens workers’ rights and environmental protections.
Congressman Polis has written to President Obama, the U.S. Trade Representative, and congressional leaders several times to ensure that his constituents' concerns about the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) are being addressed. The full text of the TPP is available here, and Congressman Polis is eager for your feedback on it.
