Dear Friend,
As your representative, it is a privilege to represent you in Congress. Everyday I’m working to bring your voice to our nation’s capital and make government work for you. With 2017 drawing to a close, here are a few highlights of what we were able to accomplish together over the past 12 months. It is an honor to work hard on behalf of you, your family, and our community.
MY WORK IN CONGRESS:
As your representative and as a former law enforcement officer, keeping you and your family safe has always been my top priority. That is why I am honored to continue to serve on the House Intelligence Committee. Over the past year, I have participated in countless classified and unclassified briefings, questioned witnesses, and reviewed documents as part of the House Intelligence Committee's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
I consider this investigation to be the most important work I have done during my time in Congress. It is not about party, but about country.
MY WORK IN INDIANAPOLIS:
My office is committed to be a place of service where your needs come first. Over the course of 2017, I am proud to let you know that we:
- Helped over 845 Hoosiers who were having difficulties with federal or state agencies
Including returning over 1.1 million dollars to local taxpayers
- Responded to over 51,000 of your letters, phone calls, and emails
- Connected over 1,000 residents with over 150 employers from across Indiana at our Central Indiana Job Fair
