Publishing Guidelines

The National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs).

The NC3Rs developed the ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) guidelines in consultation with the scientific community with the intention of improving the reporting of research using animals. A checklist is included.

In 2011, Institute for Laboratory Animal Research (ILAR) produced this committee report with guidance for effective reporting of animal research in published articles based on adequate descriptions of the research animals, the environment, and basic animal methodology.
