Child Care Survey

I’m fighting to ensure Iowans can access child care that they trust and can afford.

Recently, I held a roundtable with 17 child care providers in our district to discuss the biggest challenges facing this industry right now. I’ve introduced the Child CARE Act, legislation that will help Congress make informed policy decisions on how best use limited federal resources to expand access to affordable, quality child care options in Iowa and across the country. I also introduced the bipartisan ACCESS Act to bring more federal investment to child care across our state. This legislation would allow communities and public-private partnerships to use grants through the U.S. Department of Commerce to increase access to child care.

I’ll continue pursuing innovative solutions to ensure that parents can comfortably work and raise a family.
