CONSULAR SERVICES

Welcome to the Consular Services Section at U.S. Embassy Belize!

The Embassy's Consular Section provides a full range of American citizen services, including registration, passport, and federal benefit services.

We also issue both immigrant and non-immigrant visas to qualified non-U.S. citizens interested in visiting or immigrating to the United States. For more information on each of these services, please click on the links below.

We make every effort to keep information on this site up to date. However, fees, office hours, and regulations may change without notice. If you have further questions, please call our information hotline at (501) 224-5563.

U.S. citizens are encouraged to register at the Consular section of the U.S. Embassy in Belize City, where updated information on travel conditions and security in Belize is available. American Citizen Services
Office hours: Monday-Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.
Please note that Emergency Services (involving the arrest, death, or serious injury of an American Citizen in Belize) can be obtained at any time by calling (501) 227-7161.

Non-Immigrant Visas
All Nonimmigrant Visa Applicants must appear in person Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. At that time, applicants must present their application forms, two 2 inch by 2 inch photos, the fee receipt from Atlantic Bank, and their valid passport. Each applicant will then be given a ticket detailing his or her appointment date.

Due to the current interest in travel to the United States, appointment dates for visa interviews are now being scheduled several days, if not weeks, after visa applications are submitted. Those wishing to travel to the U.S. are encouraged to submit their visa applications at least one month in advance of their intended travel date.
