The National Immunization Program is pleased to present a teleconference program titled “Current Issues in Immunization.” This program is designed to provide clinicians with the most up-to-date information on immunization. The session will be held April 8, 2004 at 12:00pm Eastern Time.

The one-hour session will focus on emerging immunization topics. The April 8, 2004 session topics will focus on the following:

PCV7:
* PCV7 basics
* Update on PCV7 vaccine supply
* Temporary PCV7 vaccine schedule

Varicella vaccine:
* Varicella vaccine basics
* Review of latest varicella vaccine effectiveness studies

This program will combine a telephone audio conference with simultaneous online visual content. It will allow for a question and answer segment both by telephone and via the Internet. Internet access and a separate phone line are needed to participate. Graphics will be available to download as a Power Point file after the presentations.

Continuing Education Credit: Continuing education credits will be offered for various professions based on 1 hour of instruction. Information will be provided in the course of the session. After the session, participants can go to CDC’s online learning system at www.phppo.cdc.gov/PHTN Online/ to register for and obtain CE credit. The course number for this program is EV0378.
