The Press Office organizes press conferences (link to press conference schedule link) and interviews with U.S. officials and delegations. The Press Office also coordinates Worldnet Dialogues and Digital Video Conferences (link to calendar of dialogues and DVC’s) with U.S. officials and academics so as to provide access for local journalists to a broad range of interlocutors.

The Press Office distributes to the print and electronic media in Tunisia material ranging from short press releases (link to press release link) to the full translated texts of important official documents such as policy papers and speeches. The Washington File, a collection of current articles and official texts on issues of interest, is available in the internet and distributed each day to the Tunisian media. Also available are selected electronic journals , which focus on specific policy issues, subjects, or themes in a comprehensive and authoritative manner, as well as other electronic publications and policy information.

The Press Office also works with the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Press Centers in Washington, DC, New York, and Los Angeles. The Foreign Press Centers can provide Tunisian journalists on assignment in the U.S. with a variety of services to help them report on American society, politics and culture. The Press Office also provides resource and contact assistance for journalists interested in media in the United States.
