The Office of Space Science (OSS) at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. employs about 110 people, and directs all of the activities of NASA's Space Science Enterprise. Although most of our missions and projects are implemented at various NASA Centers (primarily Goddard, JPL, Kennedy, Ames, and Marshall), we are "in charge". We work with our colleagues at the NASA Centers, our scientific community, other U.S. government agencies, the President's Office of Management and Budget, the Congress, and our international partners.
