Uniformed Division POST Test
Individuals who are interested in the Uniformed Division Officer position, are invited to
contact their local field office recruiting sections if there are
any questions.
Prior to taking the examination, it is recommended that applicants obtain any comprehensive
police officer test preparation guide from your local bookstore. Applicants should fill out
the application packet (forms stated below) and bring the application packet with you the day of the exam.
Appropriate business attire is recommended to attend the Uniformed Division
POST test. The process includes, an informational briefing, test administration
and, if applicants successfully complete the test, a personal interview may
be given. Therefore applicants should allocate approximately four hours for
the process.
It is important that applicants carefully read the information on this site
concerning ALL aspects of the Uniformed Division Officer position. Applicants
are also requested to fill out an initial application and bring the application

to ensure that he or she meets these standards and that the job requirements
