The Chicago Operations Office
(DOE-CH) is a technical and business management team, advancing DOE missions through managing programs, projects, facilities, and contracts.

Chicago Operations is responsible for approximately $2.2 billion, which is about 8% of the DOE's annual budget.  This includes about $1.5 billion, or 47%, of the total budget of the DOE Office of Science.  The facilities we oversee represent $3.2 billion in net assets, including unique, world-class research facilities.
