The Department of Defense has adopted the NATIONAL FIRE INCIDENT REPORTING
SYSTEMS, commonly referred to as NFIRS, for reporting all Fires and
related Fire Service Emergencies, effective 1 January 2002.
The
State Department of Defense (DD) has been established with the United
States Fire Administration for data repository. The incumbent
reporting program, DFIRS, will terminate on 28 Feburary 2002.
