The Press Office of the Public Affairs Section provides information on policies of the U.S. Administration, disseminates U.S. Government statements, and responds to queries from journalists regarding U.S. Government actions and positions. The Washington File, a daily compilation of official texts and statements which can be read on this site, is edited in our office. Through the Information USA, our Information Resource Center, we provide general information about American society and culture and support to journalists writing about the United States. Occasionally, we offer short-term training opportunities for Hungarian journalists.
