Today in the Department of Defense, Thursday, July 19, 2001Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and Lt. Gen. Ronald T. Kadish, director, Ballistic Missile Defense Organization , appear before the House Armed Services Committee today on national missile defense. See the Congressional schedule of events for details.
