Welcome to NCUA’s Partnering and Leadership Successes (PALS) workshop presentations. This CD is a key component of my PALS initiative, which is intended to help credit unions:

• Offer the latest in innovative member services;
• Reach out to everyone in their field of membership;
• Turn millions of potential members into real members.

• This CD presents the success stories that credit union leaders and industry experts have shared at recent PALS workshops.  We have made these presentations available in the hope that more credit unions can adapt best practices to improve member services and reach more people in their field of membership.

Future PALS Workshops

• PALS workshops are being scheduled on a variety of innovative topics in different parts of the country.  Participation is free.  Each workshop provides a forum for credit union leaders to network and exchange experiences as they seek to attract new members with new services.

• For information on upcoming PALS workshops, please log onto www.ncua.gov, click PALS, then click Schedule. New CDs will be produced after each workshop.

• In the coming months, the PALS website will be expanded to feature hundreds of innovative outreach programs and services being offered by credit unions around the country.  This is an opportunity for credit unions to network electronically.  Each website entry will include a program description, and contact name and phone number to assist other credit union leaders who are looking to implement similar programs to meet their members’ needs.

• The PALS website will always be a work in progress.  It will be updated continuously with new entries and new member service innovations.  Every credit union is welcome to add their initiatives to this site by contacting my office.
