GovWorks, PITSC, and NAVSEA Keep Fleet Ready
GovWorks partnered with the Pentagon Information Technology Service Center to better serve their clients by creating a communication IDIQ for streamlined acquisition of Communication Gateway Systems/Defense Messaging System that includes hardware, software, and services for government customers. The vehicle has already been utilized by NAVSEA, the Department of the Navy's central point for designing, engineering, building, and procuring U.S. Naval ships and shipboard weapons and combat systems. It is the largest of the Navy's five systems commands and has over 50,000 team members. The NAVSEA goal is to keep the Fleet ready and capable at all times. The PITSC/GovWorks IDIQ has helped NAVSEA restructure their procurements of goods and services for the U.S. Navy Fleet.
