NREL's International Program applies world-class expertise in technology development and deployment, economic analysis, resource assessment, project design and implementation, and policy formulation to promote the use of renewable energy as a tool for sustainable development. With core funding from the U.S. Department of Energy and additional support from a variety of bi and multilateral institutions, NREL has assisted more than 30 countries in the design and implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and associated programs.
