Operations Support Program

Program is to provide resources to FHWA Division Offices and the Resource Center to support and/or stimulate the advancement of Operations and ITS, with the ultimate goal of reducing traffic congestion.

The Operations Support Program supports any transportation system management and operations activity that will help evolve transportation agencies into “21st century operating agencies that use 21st century technologies,” with emphasis on the following priority activities: Reduce Work Zone Delay, Reduce Incident Delay, Mitigate Overall Impacts of Congestion through Effective Local Partnerships, and Development and Use of Regional ITS Architectures.
