Data Availability

NWS forecasters update the forecasts for the NDFD gridded and graphical forecasts periodically, as new weather information becomes available 24 hours per day. The products made available via the NDFD are the latest forecasts available. These individual WFO forecasts are collected and mosaiced into a national domain once per hour, and new products are posted to the ftp site and to the graphical displays. Although not all geographic areas and forecast periods change nationwide each hour, there will be frequent updates to the forecasts locally.

Customer Support

The NWS Telecommunications Operations Center (TOC) is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week including holidays, to provide customer support for the NDFD data disseminated via the ftp and http protocols.
