The graphical Hurricane Local Statement depicts the "maximum level of threat" anytime during the tropical cyclone event for each tropical cyclone-associated hazard. It is highly dependent on the official forecast track provided by the National Hurricane Center (NHC), with the average forecast error (with time) taken into account. As the tropical cyclone nears, increasing detail will be provided by the local Weather Forecast Office (WFO).
