THE TOCKS ISLAND DAM PROJECT

  • An entire issue of the National Park Service's CRM (Cultural Resource Management) Magazine, Summer 2002 issue (Vol. 25 No.3), was devoted to the issue of the proposed Tocks Island Dam and the formation of the park. These are pdf files; images are black and white. The files are on a U.S. Government website, but not on the recreation area's website, and can require some time to download. For convenience, the articles are indexed individually by topic in the Cultural Resources or the Administrative Index as appropraite.

  • The Legacy of the Tocks Island Dam is a retrospective newspaper series of 11 articles about the Tocks Island Dam project by the staff of the Pocono Record. The articles appeared from August 12 to 14, 2001. There is an index of the articles within this website, but the articles themselves are html files on the Pocono Record website.
