Federal EPP Efforts
There are many Federal Program in various Departments and
Agencies working to implement the requirement of Executive Order 13101.
This page is our opportunity to promote and share the success stories
from these programs.
Promising Practices Guide
This is a series of short
case studies highlighting successful strategies for incorporating
environmental factors into a variety of product and service contracts.
EPA's Executive Order 13101 Goals
EPA's EPP Goals, formally approved October
21, 2002, were created as part of EPA's effort to meet the mandates set
out under Executive Order 13101.
Federal Pilot Projects
Here is an updated
chart of know Federal EPP projects organized by Federal Agencys/Departments.
It's purpose is to document the progress of Federal Agency EPP efforts,
by listing each pilot project under specific categories or services, such
as Cleaning Products and Green Engineering and Building. The Agencies
are individually listed, or grouped together when a joint effort has occurred,
along with their corresponding projects and contact sources.
However, this
list does not imply that every aspect of the Federal pilot project is
green, nor that 100% of all purchases of this product incorporate environmental
considerations. It only demonstrates that some effort to green a single
purchase or purchases of the service or product category, has taken place
at the respective Agency. If you have a project that you would like to
add to this list, please contact Megan Johnson of the EPP Team at 202-564-8861
or via email at johnson.megan@epa.gov.
