Our capabilities at the National Conservation Training Center are great.

Designed primarily to support the training mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, increasingly our services are being used by agency field stations throughout the nation ... and by NCTC "alumni" who have become acquainted with our services during their training visits to the Shepherdstown campus.

Our graphics and video production branches generate the materials you see and use in every NCTC course. Our national image library provides the photographs that illustrate NCTC lectures and distance learning broadcasts. Our NCTC conservation library is a welcome resource for students as they conduct research for the courses they are attending, and students continue to draw on its capabilities, such as our recently-inaugurated scientific literature search service, from their home offices. The Service’s national publications clearinghouse is our repository and distribution center for our agency’s national brochures and educational materials.
