About Region 10

About the Seattle Regional Office

The Seattle Regional Office provides funding, training and technical assistance, and monitoring for programs serving children and families in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Our staff works in partnership with the state, local and tribal agencies and organizations that provide services to their communities with the following Federally-funded programs:


The Region 10 management team is:

  • Nancy Gigoux Hutchins, Associate Regional Administrator

Region 10 Functional Statement

Mission Statement

The Region 10 Office of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) provides regional leadership and direction to plan, manage and coordinate the region-wide administration of comprehensive and supportive programs for vulnerable children and families, to help them develop and grow to be more independent and self-reliant. The Region 10 ACF programs focus on children and families with special problems, including children of low-income families, abused and neglected children, those in institutions or requiring adoption or foster family services, runaway youth, children with disabilities, migrant children, and Native American children. The programs are administered through State and local government, Tribal government and local non-profits, to assist families in financial crisis, emphasizing short-term financial assistance, longer term education, training and employment.

We, the employees of ACF, are committed to the vision of strong, healthy, supportive communities where families and individuals are empowered to increase their economic and social well being and productivity. We see our programs contributing to the protection and healthy development of children and to the quality of life of vulnerable individuals, recognizing their unique strengths and abilities. Through our federal leadership, outreach, and partnerships, we will create improved, high-quality, integrated service delivery systems that are results-oriented, easily accessible, customer-focused and supported by technology.
