The Fatherhood Initiative
History
In 2001, the White House issued a Statement on Responsible Fatherhood as part of its Blueprint for New Beginnings. Since then, the Fatherhood Initiative has been a driving force in programs in TANF, Head Start, Child Welfare, and Child Support Enforcement.

Fatherhood And Head Start in Region 10
In 2002, Region 10 funded Head Start and Early Head Start Grantees to develop one-year projects to increase the participation of fathers in their programs and supplement literacy education.
