Programs

Programs Administered by Region 10

The Seattle Regional Office administers funding for the following ACF Programs:

  • Child Care

    Child Care funds assist states in subsidizing the cost of child care for low-income families in which parents are working or pursuing education or training.

  •  
  • Child Support Enforcement

    Child Support Enforcement funds help states enforce child support payments, establish paternity, and issue support orders according to state laws.

  •  
  • Child Welfare

    Child Welfare funds support state efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect, preserve families, and facilitate adoption and foster care placement.

  • Developmental Disabilities

    Developmental Disability Program funds support states, protection and advocacy systems, and universities in providing services, research, and protection of rights.

  • Head Start/Early Head Start

    Head Start/Early Head Start funds help local organizations provide child and family development programs for children age 0 to 5 and their families, with an emphasis on school readiness.
  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

    TANF funds help states provide temporary assistance to families with children when parents or other responsible relatives cannot provide for the family's basic needs.

  • Youth Services

    Youth Services funds support local organizations in providing outreach and services to runaway and homeless youth, as well as transition services to assist 16- to 21-year old youth in achieving independent living.

  • Tribal Programs

    Tribal programs support Native American organizations in providing ACF services to their communities.

ACF provides some programs at the National level that are not administered by the Seattle Regional Office. These services include Energy Assistance and Refugee Assistance.
