Bilingual Parenting and Early Language Learning
This clearinghouse links to information about bilingual learning at home (with information and resources for parents on raising children bilingually), in school (fostering bilingual learning in the primary years), and research (related to students and academic resources).

Centers for Disease Control
The Centers for Disease Control serves as a clearinghouse for publications, software and other products to protect the health and safety of people, to enhance health decisions, and to promote health through strong partnerships.

Center for Mental Health Services
CMHS is charged with leading the national system that delivers mental health services. The goal of this system is to provide the treatment and support services needed by adults with mental disorders and children with serious emotional problems.

Child Care Aware
Child Care Aware is a nonprofit initiative whose mission is to ensure that every parent has access to good information about finding quality child care and resources in their community, through national consumer marketing and by raising visibility for local child care resource and referral agencies.

Children, Youth and Family Consortium-University of Minnesota
This site brings together research and resources to address a variety of issues facing children, youth, and families. Clearinghouses.

Clearinghouse on International Developments in Child, Youth and Family Policies at Columbia University
The Clearinghouse provides cross-national, comparative information about the policies, programs, benefits, and services available in the advanced industrialized countries. This information addresses child, youth, and family needs.

Department of Defense
The Military Children and Youth Web site is a service of the National Clearinghouse for the Military Child Development Program. The Web site is designed to (1) Share with the civilian community what the military child development and youth programs look like, and (2) Support the military community by sharing information on child care and youth initiatives.

Department of Education
The U.S. Department of Education has a wealth of information for providers, teachers, and parents. Some of their publications are available on the site, but for more titles, you can browse their collection listed on the site or call 1(877) 4-ED-PUBS.

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)-Pages for Educators and Teachers
This site links you to a variety of HHS sponsored sites that will help you plan activities for your program.

The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC)
The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) is a federally funded, nationwide information network designed to provide you with ready access to education literature. It is a program of the National Library of Education, U.S.Department of Education. ERIC is the largest database in the world--containing more than 950,000 records of journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, and books.

Federal Consumer Information Center
This clearinghouse is your gateway to a lot of free on-line consumer information. It is the very best way to find and order consumer publications.

Federal Judiciary
This site is a clearinghouse for information from and about the Judicial Branch of the U.S. Government.

Fire Safety Publications
These fire safety materials can be ordered free from the U.S. Fire Administration’s Publications Center. Posters, kits, handouts, and books are available.

The First Three Years: A Governor's Guide to Early Childhood
This guide was written to help Governors and their policy advisors share the importance of investing in a child's first three years to legislators, parents, businesses, and other community members. First written in 1997 this guide is now maintained as a web site to provide links to the latest reports, initiatives, and information on early childhood. The guide is no longer available in print, but readers can download and print any information contained on this site.

This clearinghouse has a wealth of helpful food and nutrition information!

Health Resources and Services Administration (HHS)
This is a clearinghouse of health information sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Hispanic Resources
The National Child Care Information Center has compiled a clearinghouse of child care publications, organizations, and links available for the Spanish speaking community.

National Audiovisual Center, U.S. Department of Commerce (NAC)
NAC is a unique centralized resource of Federally developed training and education materials. The collection contains over 9,000 audiovisual and media productions. The training areas include occupational safety and health, fire services, law enforcement, and foreign languages. They have information and educational materials in areas such as history, health, agriculture, and natural resources.

National Center for Education on Maternal and Child Health
The National Center for Education on Maternal and Child Health provides national leadership to the maternal and child health community in three key areas--program development, policy analysis and education, and state-of-the-art knowledge--to improve the health and well-being of the nation's children and families.

National Child Care Information Center
The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), a project of the Child Care Bureau, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is a clearinghouse of information to ensure that all children and families have access to high-quality comprehensive child care services.

National Child Care Information Center--Statistics and Data
This site links to a clearinghouse of information to help you understand the demographics impacting on child care programs. The information can be used to identify needs, defend programs, and explain the “hows” and “whys” of child care programs.

National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information
This site keeps you up to date on child abuse and neglect issues.

National Information Center on Children and Youth with Disabilities
NICHCY is the national information and referral center, sponsored by the Department of Education that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals. Their special focus is children and youth (birth to age 22).

National Network for Child Care
National Network for Child Care is an Internet clearinghouse of over 1000 publications and resources about child care. Publications are research-based and reviewed. You can get support and assistance from experts in child care and child development.

National Parent Information Network (NPIN)
NPIN provides access to research-based information about the process of parenting and family involvement in education.

National Resource and Information Center (NRIC), Women's Bureau, U.S. Department of Labor Services
This clearinghouse offers the easiest way to access information on issues of concern to working women, their families, and their employers.

National Service Resource Center
If you are interested in sample forms, examples of what others have done, and starting points to develop your own procedures and programs this site is a valuable tool. It has helped national service programs, coordinators, and members.

QUILT
The QUILT Project is a clearinghouse to support partnerships between early education programs such as state-funded childcare, Head Start, prekindergarten, and others.

Reading Room, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
The Reading Room includes many references about housing, communities, and laws that may apply to you and your program.

Rural Information Center, U.S. Department of Agriculture
The Rural Information Center provides information and referral services for rural communities, officials, organizations, and citizens.
