Child Care Bureau
The Child Care Bureau is dedicated to enhancing the quality, affordability, and availability of child care for all families. The Child Care Bureau administers Federal funds to states, territories, and tribes to assist low-income families in accessing quality child care for children when the parents work or participate in education or training.

Cooperative Extension System’s National Network for Child Care
NNCC brings the expertise of many of the nation's leading landgrant universities together. Corporation for National Service
The Corporation for National Service works with governor-appointed state commissions, nonprofits, faith-based groups, schools, and other civic organizations to provide opportunities for Americans of all ages to serve their communities. The Corporation's three major service initiatives are AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve America, and the National Senior Service Corps.

Defense, Department of
The National Clearinghouse for the Military Child Development Program hosts the Military Children and Youth website. This site shares what military child development and youth programs look like and some of the resources they use to operate their programs and train their staff.

DisabilityInfo.Gov
On October 16, a comprehensive federal web site designed to serve people with disabilities, birth through death, was launched at www.disabilityinfo.gov. This effort was developed as part of President Bush's New Freedom Initiative to "provide individuals with access to a single point to go online for Government information and resources related to disabilities and to the New Freedom Initiative."

Early Head Start National Resource Center
The Early Head Start National Resource Center (EHS NRC) was created by the Head Start Bureau, Administration for Children and Families (ACYF) and operated by ZERO TO THREE, in collaboration with WestEd of Sausilito, CA. The EHS NRC works in partnership with the Infant/Toddler Specialists at regionally based Quality Improvement Centers (QICs) to ensure that Early Head Start programs have information and training on the "best practices" for a range of topics.

Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC)
The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) is a Federally funded, nationwide information network that provides you with access to education literature. It is a program of the National Library of Education, U.S. Department of Education. ERIC is the largest database in the world--containing more than 950,000 records of journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, and books.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
This nonprofit organization partners with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Customs Service, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the U.S. Secret Service to serve as a focal point in providing assistance to parents, children, law enforcement, schools, and the community in recovering missing children and raising public awareness about ways to help prevent child abduction, molestation, and sexual exploitation.

National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities
The National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) is hosted by the U.S. Department of Education. Their special focus is children and youth (birth to age 22).

National Institute for Literacy
The National Institute for Literacy (NIFL) is an independent Federal organization leading the national effort toward a fully literate nation in the 21st century. NIFL's mission is to ensure that the highest quality of literacy services is available to these adults. The focus is on adult literacy, but there is helpful information about literacy in children, too.

National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)

National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care

Parenting Resources for the 21st Century
This site links parents and caregivers with information on issues about parenting. It is Federally sponsored through the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and helps families meet the challenges of raising a child today. The site addresses school violence, child development, home schooling, organized sports, child abuse, the juvenile justice system, and other relevant topics.

Partnership for Family Involvement in Education
The U.S. Department of Education established the Partnership for Family Involvement in Education to support family participation in children's learning. Businesses, community and religious organizations, families, and schools need to work together to support parent and employee involvement in education. This site offers resources, ideas, funding, and conferences relevant to family involvement in education. QUILT - Quality In Linking Together Early Education Partnerships
QUILT is a national training and technical assistance project funded by the federal Head Start and Child Care Bureaus.
