| In
January 2001, ORD released its new Strategic Plan, which
is a result of several years of work with broad participation
from ORD staff, and ORD customers and stakeholders. Building
on the EPA Strategic
Plan and ORD’s two previous strategic plans (1996
and updated in 1997),
we have developed a clear and strong strategic direction that
will guide us through the next decade. This Strategic Plan reaffirms
our commitment to providing the best quality science possible
in support of a clean and safe environment and provides the
roadmap for how we will achieve each of the five
organizational goals that we believe collectively define
our aspirations and purpose. It also describes how our research
priorities align with and support EPA’s Strategic Goals.
