Mapping

The map below indicates the states with designated use information available for mapping through EnviroMapper for Water. Updates are planned to occur on a six-month basis. Some states have maps that portray information in more detail than what's shown. More detailed maps will be used on EnviroMapper site as they become available.

Note: Pink states have preliminary designated use information available on the Intranet and may also have preliminary mapping information available on the Intranet.

EnviroMapper for Water

This interactive Geographic Information System (GIS) application uses the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) exit EPA and displays water quality standards/designated use information that has been linked to the NHD stream network. The EnviroMapper for Water allows users to view spatial data at the National, State, and county levels, as well as utilize GIS functionality, such as displaying multiple spatial layers, zooming, panning, displaying latitude and longitude, and identifying features.
